Netflix has released the main trailer and 15 new stills for the highly anticipated third and final season of 'Squid Game', set to premiere on June 27, 2025, KST. The upcoming season follows Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae), who reenters the deadly game haunted by the loss of his closest friend and driven by a personal mission. Watching from the shadows is the enigmatic Front Man (Lee Byung Hun), now back in his commanding role.

The trailer begins with the chilling melody "Knock, knock, who's there? It's me, little one," leading into scenes of terrified participants under the towering gaze of Young Hee, the now-iconic animatronic doll. The blend of childlike imagery and life-threatening danger once again sets the tone for a series where innocence turns into horror.

Gi Hun, who has unwillingly returned, is seen breaking down, shouting, "Why didn’t you kill me? Why did you let me live?"—a cry rooted in guilt after surviving a failed rebellion that cost his friend Jung Bae (Lee Seo Hwan) his life.

The Front Man, once Player 132, is seen closely observing Gi Hun, hinting that his role in the game may shift its power dynamics. New game settings, including a starlit alley and a jump rope challenge, suggest both visual innovation and psychological intensity.

Emotional moments pepper the trailer: Geum Ja (Kang Ae Sim) begs for the game to stop in tears, while Myung Gi (Im Si Wan) scolds Jun Hee (Jo Yu Ri) with the line, "What are you planning to do? Sit here and die?" Tension peaks when Gi Hun, wearing a suit and badge number 456, confronts the unmasked Front Man, who asks him directly, "456, do you still trust people?"

The newly released stills offer glimpses of returning and new characters navigating survival. Gi Hun is seen in a sharp suit, eyes filled with resolve. The Front Man, also suited and wearing number 132, appears more commanding than ever. Surviving participants—Myung Gi, Dae Ho (Kang Ha Neul), Hyun Joo (Park Sung Hoon), Yong Sik (Yang Dong Geun), Geum Ja, Jun Hee, and Nam Gyu (Roh Jae Won)—are shown in moments of distress, defiance, and quiet strategy.

A striking still shows Gyeong Seok (Lee Jin Wook) clutching his abdomen while facing a Pink Guard, raising questions about his survival after a possible rebellion. Meanwhile, Jun Ho (Wi Ha Joon) is spotted examining an invitation bearing the familiar ○△□ symbols, sparking curiosity about whether he will uncover the truth behind the game. Another still features No Eul (Park Gyu Young) unmasking a Pink Guard and aiming a gun, hinting at chaotic twists to come.

As Young Hee looms once again at the game’s entrance, 'Squid Game' season 3, written and directed by Hwang Dong Hyuk, promises a finale filled with betrayal, confrontation, and a final reckoning between Gi Hun and the Front Man.

Streaming begins exclusively on Netflix on June 27, 2025, KST.
