Taeyeon accidentally makes a peace sign at a concert, then realizes she can't do that pose due to the political implications

Legendary idol Taeyeon recently had an amusing moment at a concert in Bangkok this week.

Taeyeon was posing for a photo while onstage, and casually made the peace sign while posing. Then, she suddenly seemed to realize the political implications of this pose, and quickly said “No!” while putting her hand back down.

For context, it is currently election time for South Korea. During this time, idols must be very careful about everything from the colors they wear to the poses they make. Anything they do can be seen as an endorsement of a political party, such as with Karina's recent black-and-red hoodie scandal. While some idols use this as a way to subtly show support for their chosen political party, others try to avoid giving any message at all with their clothing and poses.
