N.Flying celebrates 10th anniversary with all members reunited and a message of everlasting romance.
N.Flying is having a special 2025. With all members now discharged from military service, the band has reunited as a complete group to celebrate their 10th anniversary, filling this milestone year with lasting memories.
On June 2nd KST, N.Flying held an interview at the FNC Entertainment building in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, to mark the release of their 2nd full-length album, ‘Everlasting’.
This album marks their first comeback in two years as a full group. The title ‘Everlasting’, meaning “eternal” and “unchanging,” carries a romantic message about preserving moments of eternity even as time passes.
The title track “Snowy Road”, released on May 28th, evokes a Britpop sound and expresses their desire to remain unchanged in the hearts of fans.
Seunghyub shared, “It’s our 10th anniversary and also the first time in two years we’re back with all members. It’s our second full album, so we worked on it more carefully. We kept N.Flying’s original color but also experimented musically. We were really curious how fans would respond, and their reaction has made us so happy.”
He added, “We tried to capture N.Flying’s essence—changing guitars, adjusting live tones, and emphasizing vocals in the mix. We wanted to convey the energy of live performances, not just a polished sound.”
Jaehyun, making his first comeback after military discharge, said, “I noticed how much larger the venues have gotten. Seung Hyub and Hwe Seung promised I’d return to bigger stages—and they were right. That promise motivated me to grow and come back better.”
During the hiatus, Seunghyub and Yoo Hwe Seung carried on as a duo. Yoo remarked, “Even though we stayed in touch with the others, the stage felt empty. Now that we’re back as a full group—from concerts to album promotions—it’s been emotional.”
Cha Hun reflected, “After the military, everyone seems more mature and responsible. I could see how much each member has grown.”
Seo Dong Sung shared gratitude, “I didn’t struggle much during my service—I just did as I was told. But I’m sure the two hyungs had it tough managing as a duo, yet they never complained. It felt like they had everything prepared for us to return, and that really touched me.”
Despite his busy schedule with the drama “Lovely Runner”, Lee Seung Hyub continued working on the album. “I often worked on my laptop in the car or recorded guitar parts in the drama waiting room. It helped that my role required playing guitar,” he recalled.
Yoo Hwe Seung said the 10th anniversary felt particularly meaningful: “From the start of this year, I had a lot of anticipation. Doing a live stream with all the members on our anniversary made me wish these moments would last forever.” He added, “I have big hopes for this album. Some albums become hits instantly, but I want each track here to shine over time—even if slowly.”
As a band from FNC Entertainment, N.Flying welcomed still being called an “idol band.” Lee Seung Hyub noted, “We were introduced as an idol band even during yesterday’s live performance. I think that term still fits, and we want to keep it alive. Our goal is to be a sincere band that makes good music.”
Jaehyun agreed, “Even though we’re all over 30 now, I’m glad people still see us as an idol band. ‘Idol’ means a symbol or role model—and if someone starts a band after seeing us, that’s something to be proud of.”
Asked what “romance” means to N.Flying, Yoo Hwe Seung answered, “For us, romance means the struggles of youth. We worked so hard during those times, but when we look back, it all feels beautiful.”
Kim Jae Hyun added, “For me, romance is the desire to be with our fans forever.”
