Following the departure of The Boyz member Ju Hak Nyeon due to a personal scandal, Cha Ga Won, Chairwoman of One Hundred Label, the agency representing the group, has issued a formal apology and taken responsibility for the incident.

On June 18, Chairwoman Cha released an official statement through One Hundred Label, expressing sincere regret to fans and the public. She said, "We deeply apologize for causing concern to fans and the general public due to the recent situations involving our artists and team members."

She acknowledged the agency’s shortcomings by stating, "We humbly accept that we failed to properly manage our artists’ private lives and conduct. Through this incident, we have come to fully recognize the weight of our responsibility and are reflecting deeply."

Cha Ga Won also promised to implement systemic changes. she said, "We will strengthen our management framework regarding artists’ private lives and overall conduct, enhance ethical awareness through education, and improve our internal systems. Moving forward, we will take a more responsible approach, not only to the activities of our artists but also to all surrounding factors, in order to regain and maintain the trust of fans and the public."

Earlier the same day, One Hundred Label announced Ju Hak Nyeon’s official departure from The Boyz and the termination of his exclusive contract. They said, "As soon as we were informed of Ju Hak Nyeon’s involvement in a personal issue, we immediately suspended his activities and took time to thoroughly verify the facts. Upon understanding the severity of the situation, we concluded that it would be difficult for him to maintain public trust as an artist. After sufficient discussion with the members of The Boyz, we have officially decided on his withdrawal from the group and the termination of his contract."

Previously, on June 16, the agency had stated that Ju Hak Nyeon would be temporarily halting activities due to personal reasons.

This development follows reports from the Japanese media outlet Shūkan Bunshun, which revealed that Ju Hak Nyeon had met with former Japanese AV actress Asuka Kirara at a private bar in Tokyo late last month. The publication confirmed the meeting and reportedly sent an inquiry to One Hundred Label regarding the situation.
